New England Motor Freight employed a crew to clean up an oil spill at the intersection of Route 443 and Seneca Road Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the spill at 8:30 a.m.About two hours later, workers from New England Motor Freight arrived on scene, explaining one of their tractor-trailers experienced engine failure and spread the motor oil without the knowledge of the rig’s driver.According to Al Lombardo, shop manager for NEMF in Lehighton, the company called North American Environmental, who came to clean up the spill.
