A Lansford man faces charges after borough police were called to multiple businesses for man trespassing and then an attempted break-in Thursday.

Jonathan Eckerd, 33, of Spring Garden Street, was arrested and charged with defiant trespass and disorderly conduct after the report of an attempted break-in at a residence in the 400-block of West Bertsch Street, police said.

District Judge Beth Dodson arraigned him and set bail at $25,000, and he was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning.

Lansford police said additional charges are pending.
