Walnutport remains on track to update its short-term rental ordinance.
The short-term rental amendment to the zoning ordinance is scheduled for adoption in March.
Borough engineer Jason Newhard said that there were no regulations in the zoning ordinance regulating bed-and-breakfasts.
Newhard said this will mandate that the bed-and-breakfast shall be owner-occupied.
Borough solicitor Michael Corriere said at December’s meeting that the zoning would remain R1 and R2, and it would still permit five rental units.
Guests can stay for a minimum of three days, and maximum of no more than 14 days a month.
Newhard suggested limiting the number of rentals per month.
Council will hold a public hearing ahead of a decision at its March meeting.
