West Penn Township supervisors took the following action last week:

• Announced that the Schuylkill County Tax Assessment Office has hired a group called VISION Government Solutions Inc., to do the tax assessment. The township has posted on its website that these people will be taking pictures of homes, buildings, and land, and will also be taking measurements. They may or may not knock on your door to let you know who they are. They will be in the area for about two weeks.

• Approved the purchase of a Zero Turn lawn tractor at a price to be determined.

• Announced the township will be making septic repairs.
