Art opening showcases St. Jerome students

St. Jerome Regional School eighth grade students will be part of a February exhibit at the Tamaqua Arts Center, which opens on Wednesday. The official opening and a meet-and-greet for “Daedal Doodle” will take place from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the 125 Pine St. gallery. The students created “ABC book” entries by researching words they weren’t familiar with and drawing an entry based on the definition. They were assisted by school art teacher and Jim Thorpe artist Victor Stabin, who created the book, “Daedal Doodle,” using the same techniques. Shown here is “The Electroencephalogram Ebb” by Vicki Lashock. For additional information on the project, see Spotlight in Saturday’s edition of the Times News. CONTRIBUTED PHOTO
