Shawn Gilbert will again serve as chairman of the Rush Township board of supervisors.
He was nominated for the position during this week’s reorganization meeting.
Also for 2024, Robert Leibensperger will serve as vice chairman and George Gerhard as supervisor. Gerhard was elected to the board during November’s general election.
Kristin Woleslagle was reappointed as full-time administrative assistant. She will also serve as the assistant treasurer and secretary until one is hired. The board accepted the resignation of Susan Bettis, who had served as the township’s full-time secretary and treasurer, at a meeting held after the reorganization.
The board kept Christopher Riedlinger as solicitor and Arro Consulting as the township’s zoning and code enforcement on an as-needed basis. Arro will also be the township’s engineering firm on an as-needed basis.
The board will meet at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, except January.
