Ashtown road in Mahoning Township was closed to traffic at this morning after a car collided with a utility pole bringing down a wire across the roadway.

The crash occurred near 6:30 a.m. as the motorist was traveling west just past Mall road. The car drifted to the right entering the berm where it impacted with and snapped off a utility pole.

The impact brought down a utility wire which stretched acoss the roadway. The driver of the car was not injured. Mahoning township police are investigating the incident. Larry Neff/Special to the Times News
