State Rep. Doyle Heffley will tour the Mauch Chunk Opera House and meet with local business owners to discuss legislation that would exempt the holders of liquor licenses located in a historic district from the liquor code's noise restrictions.

The opera house is one of these buildings, is not soundproof and cannot be altered to comply with the rules.The meeting will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Opera House.
