Summit Hill Council sends message to Panther Valley board

Jesse Walck, president of Summit Hill Borough Council, apparently wasn't too pleased with a comment made by the Panther Valley School Board president at a recent meeting.

At the school board meeting, Summit Hill resident Joseph Kosalko was speaking against the privatizing of district maintenance workers.Jeff Markovich, board president, interrupted Kosalko and told him to sit down, that "this isn't Summit Hill Borough Council."At Monday night's meeting of the borough council, a woman had a complaint about a late charge on a garbage bill she felt she didn't deserve. She was apologetic to the council.Walck said, "This isn't Panther Valley School Board. We actually take input from the public.""And, you can quote me on that," Walck said, directing the remark to the Times News. His comment brought a chuckle from the dozen or so people in the audience. Kosalko wasn't among them.
