Walnutport Borough Council took the following action last week:

• Tabled Birch Street to look into the status of any deed restrictions.

• Agreed to spend $1,400 to remove a tree along Kunz Alley by the Walnutport Borough Police Department.

• Authorized payment for $131 to file the actual petition to proceed in conservatorship action for 645 Lehigh Gap Street, made payable to Northampton County, and also to permit the borough solicitor to contact the county to modify the grant application from Willow Street to 645 Lehigh Gap to rectify the dilapidated property.

• Agreed to file notice of violation to notify GFL about the potential violation of the delivering of recyclables.

• Announced that borough council’s next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 2.
