Palmerton Borough Council on a 5-0 vote took the following action on Thursday:

• Approved the S.S. Palmer/Parkside PTO to hold its Halloween Parade (K-6) from 1-3 p.m. Oct. 27 in the borough park.

• Approved a request for fire police to assist the Palmerton Halloween Parade at 4 p.m. Oct. 15, with a rain date of Oct. 16.

• Announced that trick-or-treat will be held in the borough from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 28.

• Approved the 2024 Non-Uniform Minimum Municipal Obligation in the amount of $124,578.
