The Carbon County Commissioners acted on or discussed the following items during their weekly meeting on Thursday.
• Approved an agreement with Quincy Technology Solutions Inc. of Woodbridge, Connecticut, for unlimited licensed software and maintenance in the coroner’s office. The term of the agreement will be from Jan. 1, 2024 through Dec. 31, 2024 and cost a total of $7,697.
• Adopted a resolution honoring Emilie B. Valent of Lansford, who celebrated her 100th birthday on Sunday.
• Commissioner Rocky Ahner announced the county received a $1,000 donation from the Donald and Mary Behler Foundation for the animal shelter.
Personnel
• Resignations: Aaliyah J. Hopkins of Summit Hill, 911 operator, effective Oct. 9; and Angelo J. Jordan of Hazleton, part-time veteran service officer, effective Aug. 18.
• Acknowledge appointment: Haley M. Griffin of Kunkletown, probation officer I, adult probation, effective Oct. 2.
