A basket raffle to benefit the Lehighton Indians football and baseball teams will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Lehighton Rec Center.

Kauffman’s Chicken Dinner will be held the same day. Tickets may be pre-purchased from any football or baseball player.

Proceeds benefit the Lehighton Touchdown Club Football Program and the Lehighton Indians baseball team, according to Autumn Abelovsky, of the Lehighton Recreation Committee.

Abelovsky said there will also be special ticket items including personalized cornhole boards, scratch off lottery ticket book, designer purse and a wine and spirits basket.

She said all of its fundraising efforts go back directly to the student athletes, who are supported by way of scholarships, team meals, coaches trainings, spirit wear, camps, senior gifts, recognition banquets, equipment, uniforms and accessories.

“As we say in Lehighton, we have “Tribe Pride,” and we would love for everyone to join us as an Indian supporter by attending the basket raffle,” Abelovsky said.
