A free car seat check is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Walmart, 1731 Blakeslee Boulevard, Drive East, Lehighton,

The event is sponsored by Carbon County Foundation Kids Zone, Lehigh Valley Health Network, St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Pennsylvania State Police.

The check includes making sure the seat is installed correctly, that the child is in the correct seat for their height and weight and if there are any recalls.
