LVHN distracted driver simulator comes to CCTI

The start of the 2023-2024 school year was most exciting for the students at Carbon Career & Technical Institute in Jim Thorpe.

Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Distracted Driving Simulator made a stop at the school campus last week. CCTI’s junior students were able to take part in a distracted driving scenario.

Along with LVHN, there were representatives from the Highway Safety Network, as well as Carbon-Monroe-Pike Drug and Alcohol.

Students had the opportunity to play a game, which gave them insight into how very difficult it is to multitask while driving.

CCTI’s SADD and Aevidum clubs hosted the event for Safety Day at the school.
