Sex trafficking is a problem around the world, not only in other countries or large cities, but everywhere.
It could happen to anyone.
To help spread awareness, Weatherly Faith Church will host the Gateway to Freedom Foundation for a discussion from 8:30 a.m. to noon on Sept. 23 in Weatherly Area Middle School’s cafeteria. The foundation is an anti-human trafficking initiative that aims to help by driving down the demand in cities across the United States.
The presentation will be “Until All Are Free: A Community Action Plan to Combat Sex Trafficking.”
Pastor Sal Reyes said that the workshop aims to “raise awareness and learn to identify the signs in our communities and how to combat sex trafficking.”
For those interested in the workshop, register at https://tinyurl.com/WeatherlyChurch. The event is open to anyone but registration is requested.
