State police at the Frackville barracks said a 32-year-old Pottsville man who overdosed on methamphetamines was revived by EMS personnel.
Police said the incident happened at 12:57 a.m. Aug. 25 to a property on Golf Road. The man was revived and was transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Miners Campus, Coaldale, for an evaluation.
In a separate incident, police said an unresponsive woman who had overdosed was revived by a family member with the use of Naloxone.
Police said they were summoned at 9:18 a.m. Aug. 26 to a property on Raven Run Road in West Mahanoy Township. They said their investigation discovered the woman is a repeated drug abuser who has overdosed several times in the past. They said she was released from rehabilitation with several doses of Naloxone which was used by a family member to revive her.
