Plantfest is Saturday in Lansford

Plantfest 2023 gets underway Saturday morning in Lansford’s Kennedy Park with food, music, vendors with handcrafted or homemade items - and plants!

The festival continues to grow with more than 60 vendors planning to set up shop for the day-long event, which includes a plant swap, organizer Amy Wood said this week.

Festivities kick off at 11 a.m. with Dave Matsinko first in the entertainment lineup on the Plantfest stage.

K.C. Raniero takes the stage at noon, followed by free yoga from River Run Healing Arts at 1 p.m., GEODE at 2 p.m. and Hatter at 3 p.m.

A variety of food will also be available, with food trucks from the Mahoning Valley Lions Club, Phil’s French fries, The Udder Bar and For His Kingdom Coffee, Wood said.

People can also take a chance on a basket raffle to benefit the Carbon County Friends of Animals, she said, and face painting will also be available by Violent Venus.

Parking is available in the large lot adjacent to the park, and also on the other side of the stadium at the pool lot in Ashton Park.

More information on Plantfest, which wraps up at 4 p.m., and participating vendors can be found on the group’s Facebook page, Carbon County Plantfest 2023.
