A Kunkletown man pleaded guilty on Tuesday in Carbon County court to a theft charge.
James Enser Cockrell, 24, was arrested on March 11 by state police at Lehighton for taking antiques belonging to Virginia Chryst in Towamensing Township.He previously was placed in the county's Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program but was revoked for violating conditions.President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II accepted the plea and placed Cockrell on probation for two years and ordered him to get a drug and alcohol evaluation, continue is current treatment program, pay court costs of about $1,000, and a $50 per month supervision fee.
