Cooler temperatures on way, rain for the weekend

We're finally getting cooler temperatures but they come at a price. We'll have showers throughout the weekend. Here's the forecast:

Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. North wind 6 to 9 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 56. Light north wind.

Saturday: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 1pm. High near 75. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Saturday Night: Showers. Low around 58. Light and variable wind. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Sunday: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Northwest wind 5 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 68.
