Two people were injured Sunday morning in a crash along Mountain Road in Washington Township.

The crash occurred at 11:30 a.m. about a mile east of the Turnpike.

According to reports from the scene two occupants of the bike, a man and a woman were heading west when they encountered loose gravel on the roadway with the motorcycle going down a long the right berm coming to rest in a grassy area between a group of trees.

Both riders were transported to a Lehigh Valley area trauma center. State police are investigating the incident.
