After four years, this property at 13 S. Lehigh St. in Tamaqua, has made it to the top of the borough's demolition list. Last week, Tamaqua Borough Council voted to seek requests for proposal for its demolition after Tamaqua Borough Manager Kevin Steigerwalt said the borough's code enforcement officers had completed a thorough review of the property and had recommended demolition. The proposals will also include reinforcement and stabilization of the adjoining property. The property was badly damaged by a fire in July 2011 that destroyed several other homes in the row.
