$1M lottery ticket sold in Schnecksville; Powerball up to $361M

Before the Powerball jackpot rolled to a $361 million annuity value for Wednesday, a winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million from the Saturday, July 16, drawing was old at a Pennsylvania Lottery retailer.

The ticket sold in Lehigh County correctly matched all five white balls, 11-17-40-50-62, but not the red Powerball 26, to win $1 million, less applicable tax withholding. The retailer, Weis Markets, 5020 state Route 873, Schnecksville, will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.Lottery officials cannot confirm the identity of the winner until the prize is claimed and the ticket is validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.The Lottery encourages the holder of the winning ticket to sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at Lottery headquarters in Middletown, Dauphin County, or at any of the lottery's seven area offices.More than 71,800 Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball tickets won prizes of various amounts in the July 16 drawing, including 15,234 tickets purchased with the Power Play option that multiplied their prizes by two.Players should check every ticket, every time, and immediately sign winning tickets. Lower-tier prizes may be claimed at a lottery retailer.
