The Carbon County Navy Club is looking for the community's help to raise enough money for a waterborne military veterans monument, which will be placed in Nesquehoning.

Club members will be at Redner's Warehouse Market in Nesquehoning from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. They will be holding a fundraiser for the monument, as well as signing up new members.The club is open to all active duty, reserve and veterans who served in the U.S. Navy, Marines and Coast Guard. Civilians and other military branches can also join as an associate member.Meetings for the club are held the last Monday of the month at the Nesquehoning VFW, 300 E.
