The Tamaqua Community Art Center and its Clay Works Studio have something planned for upcoming teacher in-service days on Oct. 10, Nov. 28 and Jan. 16.

The studio will be open to students on those days. In October, they will create a Minecraft character. November's class will be just in time for Christmas, as they will create an ornament, while January's class will be all about medieval castles.There is a fee for each class, and participants are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch as the sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.For more information, or to register, call 570-668-1192.The art center is located at 125 Pine St., Tamaqua.
