Fireline Road in Bowmanstown was closed to traffic Sunday afternoon after a driver failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway entering the berm and snapping off a utility pole.

The incident occurred just after noon at the intersection with East White street.

The driver was not injured in the incident. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
