Blue Mountain Community Church will host a Community Christmas Celebration at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

In honor of the church's 35th anniversary, the congregationinvites the community to the service."We are specifically hoping that people who don't have a church, are visiting from out-of-town, or can squeeze this into their already busy schedules can attend," a church statement said.The service is free and family-oriented. Doors open at 4:30 p.m.Light refreshments will be served.The service will also include Christmas songs, a dramatic presentation of the Christmas Story and sharing in a candlelit "O Holy Night."
