AARP needs volunteers to prepare income tax returns for seniors and low-income taxpayers.

Formal training will be held in January at Bear Creek Lodge Tuesdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for three weeks. There is an online practice in addition and laptops will be provided. Commuting miles will be reimbursed.The tax sites will be in Palmerton, Lehighton, Beaver Meadows, Penn Forest and Gilbert from Feb. 1 through April 17.Interested volunteers can contact Joe Germy at 610-824-5165.
