In keeping with their campaign promise of an "open administration" that would be bipartisan, Carbon County majority commissioners Wayne Nothstein and Thomas J. Gerhard have assembled solicitors for the various county agencies from both sides of the political aisle.
Nothstein and Gerhard stated they did research on each solicitor with many factors involved."We looked at each agency and made our recommendations based on what the agency needed, in terms of a solicitor, and then looked at each solicitor and their background," Gerhard said."We wanted the best fit for each agency regardless of political affiliations," Nothstein added. Both stated that all decisions, including appointments, will be based on what is best for the county with politics being kept out of the decision making process.
