A woman escaped injury this morning in a crash in Mahoning Township.

The crash occurred about 11 a.m. as she was driving a snow-covered Springhill Road.

Her sport utility vehicle slid off the west berm rolling down an embankment.

The woman was freed by members of the Lehighton and Mahoning Valley fire companies. The woman was evaluated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics.

Mahoning Township police are investigating the incident.
