Snow in forecast tonight, Friday morning

The National Weather Service has issued an advisory for snow tonight and early Friday morning.

Accumulations should be light, an inch or two. Snow is expected to end by the morning commute but travel could be slippery.

The forecast:

oday: Increasing clouds, with a high near 31. West wind 7 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Snow, mainly after 10pm. Low around 20. Southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Friday: A chance of snow before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 30. Northwest wind 7 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 11. Northwest wind 3 to 6 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 24. Calm wind becoming northwest 5 to 7 mph in the morning.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 11.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 21.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 8.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 24.

Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 16.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 35.
