Pleasant Valley school board director Len Peeters addressed the members at Thursday night's meeting regarding the issue of bullying.
"I have been getting a lot of emails lately regarding bullying and even cyberbullying," Peeters said. "I see what is happening in other places and I don't want to see something tragic happen in our district."Peeters read off the list of how bullying is handled in the current policy, which goes from a warning to a suspension."I feel suspension should be a first response," Peeters said. "I don't want to see any bullying situation end up with a tragic result."Peeters added that he knew the policy had recently been revised, but he strongly felt that the current policy isn't strong enough.
