A recall of ready-to-eat breaded chicken products, including chicken patties from Walmart's Great Value brand, has been issued due to the presence of metal objects.

Oklahoma's OK Foods, Inc. recalled approximately 933,272 pounds of breaded chicken products that could be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal, according to an announcement from the U.S. Department of Agricultural Foods Safety and Inspection Service.The breaded chicken products were produced on various dates from Dec. 19, 2016 through March 7, 2017, and feature establishment number "P-7092" inside the USDA mark of inspection. There have been no reports of any health issues as of yet, but the FSIS is encouraging people not to eat the products if they happen to have them.OK Foods Inc. received five consumer complaints regarding metal objects in the chicken products last week, and FSIS inspection personnel confirmed the presence of potentially dangerous objects during verification activities. An internal investigation by the firm found the affected products and found that the objects in the food complaints came from metal conveyor belting.The FSIS listed 7.5 lb. cases containing five 24 oz. packages of Great Value Fully Cooked Chicken Fillets Breaded Chicken Breast with Rib Meat bearing case code 201258 and "Best by/Use by" date of 3/2/2018 as part of the recall.
