WILKES-BARRE (AP) - Pennsylvania's Emergency Management Agency is trying to determine if the state's Northeast towns and counties can recover the costs associated with last month's snowstorm.

The storm dropped more than 2 feet of snow on the region.Officials are asking the federal government to review damage costs to determine eligibility. Preliminary assessments suggest the region may fall short.Gov. Tom Wolf may request a presidential disaster declaration in order to get assistance.
