Panther Valley fourth-grade students recently took first place at the K'nex STEM Design Challenge at the Carbon-Lehigh Intermediate Unit.
The Panther Valley team was made up of Natalie Vermillion, Brenna McAndrew, Eli Maynard and Maddison Maynard.More than a dozen schools participated.Their winning design was "The Garden Spider," an amusement-park ride.The students acknowledged in their presentation that they had to overcome disagreements in order to bring their design to completion.They were advised by Ms. Ashley Stratchko.The group will travel to Harrisburg in May to compete against other regional champions from around the state.
