A Schuylkill County business was forced to evacuate on Wednesday after a bomb threat was called into the county’s communications center by a person who threatened to blow up the building.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks said the incident happened at 9:51 a.m.Police said the caller indicated a bomb had been placed inside Environmental Stoneworks, Pheasant Run Road, West Brunswick Township.After the building was emptied, a search of the building was conducted by a state police canine unit, although no bomb was located.After the building was deemed to be safe, employees went back to work without further incident, police said.They were assisted at the scene by the West Brunswick/Deer Lake Fire Police.
