State police at Frackville reported investigating a rear-end crash in Schuylkill County on Monday, Dec. 12.

Troopers said Mark O. Ambrose, 23, of Ashland, was operating a 2010 Toyota Prius eastbound on Main St., in Butler Township, about 3:50 p.m. when he failed to see a 2008 Hyundai Elantra slowing down in front of him.His Toyota struck the rear of the Elantra, which was operated by Thomas K. Blakeslee, 62, of Lavelle, Schuylkill County.Blakeslee sustained a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention, troopers said. Ambrose was not injured.Troopers cited Ambrose for driving a vehicle at an unsafe speed.
