A Palmerton man admitted his part in the theft of jewelry from a borough resident.

Stephen Barclay, 20, pleaded guilty on Monday in Carbon County court before Senior Judge Richard W. Webb to two counts of receiving stolen property.Barclay was arrested by borough police for his part in the theft of jewelry from the residence of Kelly Sommers, Delaware Avenue, which occurred on May 15, 2010. Taken was various jewelry items including a diamond ring.Webb accepted the plea but deferred sentencing and ordered the adult probation office prepare a presentence investigation (PSI).Unauthorized useTimothy Eckhart, 24, of Lehighton, pleaded guilty to one count of authorized use of an automobile.He admitted having the 1996 Saturn SL2 of Stephanie Schwinger, of Lehighton, without her permission.Webb imposed a fine of $300 and costs.
