Newberry's Store, West Broad Street, Tamaqua, held its grand opening today. The store, which had been in Tamaqua for over 40 years, closed May 16 of this year. The company revised its decision to close following a deluge of letters of protest from local people. James Girton, Renova, is the supervisor and plans to move to Tamaqua with his wife and two daughters in the near future. There are nine store clerks.
