New student registration

Students new to Lehighton Area High School who have not as yet registered or elected courses for the next school term are asked to do so as soon as possible.

Parents should bring the students to the high school guidance office any weekday between 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to complete the registration.An appointment will then be made to see a counselor regarding course selection.If you have any questions regarding this process, you may also call the office at (610) 377-7600.State law requires proof that immunizations have been received for diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, polio, two doses of measles-mumps-rubella and three doses of hepatitis B and proper proof of varicella immunizations or disease.Students will not be allowed to attend school without proper proof of immunization.Parents are also reminded that they must present a copy of a birth certificate and proof of residency when they register.Lehighton students will report to school by 7:30 a.m. on August 29.The first day for students attending the Carbon County Career and Technical Institute in Jim Thorpe will also be August 29.
