Monroe driver injured in Lehigh

A Monroe County driver was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred about 9:59 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, along Interstate 78 in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Habybatou Barry, 24, of Tobyhanna, was driving a 2001 Audi A4 eastbound when she began to experience unknown engine problems and as a result began to merge right in an attempt to make it to the right shoulder of the road.While in the center lane her vehicle came to a stop and was struck in the rear by a 2008 Honda Ridgeline truck driven by Roman A. Urbanczuk, 52, of Bethlehem.Barry was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by rescue personnel. She was then taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, for treatment of injuries. Urbanczuk was not injured, troopers said.
