Palmerton Borough Council took the following action on Thursday:

• Approved an equipment rental agreement with Bowmanstown that allows for the rental of Palmerton’s vac truck with operators at a cost to Bowmanstown.

• Approved a request to provide fire police assistance for the third annual Back the Blue motorcycle run on Aug. 12, contingent upon fire police availability.

• Denied requests by Carbon County Plant People to hold Plant Fest events in April and August of 2024 in the borough park.

• Announced that National Night Out will be held in the borough park from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. The Palmerton Concourse Club will show its Movie in the Park, “Super Mario Bros.”
