A popular weather forecaster plans to stop in several Carbon County towns Wednesday as part of his annual charity bike ride.
Joe Snedeker, WNEP’s weather forecaster, will be in Lansford and Nesquehoning, before making his final stop around 4 p.m. in Lehighton.
Snedeker will be escorted to the downtown borough park by the Lehighton Borough Police Department while the Lehighton Area High School Indian Pride Band welcomes him as he rides into the borough.
Kurt Aaron, from the WNEP 16 team (pending bad weather), will do the weather forecast from 4-6:30 p.m.
Local downtown businesses will have a collection bucket to help support Go Joe 26 and St. Joseph’s Center.
First Responders will be there with equipment. Gombert Family Games will have a bounce house.
Guests can get their faces painted as well.
All proceeds will be donated to St. Joseph’s.
Stay tuned to the Lehighton Downtown Partnership – LDP Facebook page for additional information.
As part of last year’s charity ride, Snedeker made stops in Summit Hill, Palmerton, Coaldale and Tamaqua.
