Thrivent Financial will be hosting a free workshop on Saturday titled “4 Truths About Long Term Care.”

The 60-minute event will be held at 11 a.m. in the Palmerton Area Library at 402 Delaware Ave. The workshop will be presented by Susan E Lovejoy, a financial adviser with Thrivent Financial in Palmerton.

People think “it won’t happen to me” when it comes to needing help as they age, but the need for care often comes anyway. Here are some things to consider:

• Most people want to stay in their home;

• Care is expensive, whether at home or not;

• People don’t need to be a burden on their loved ones.
