My name is Heather Neff. I am running for a seat on the Lehighton Area School Board. I am running because I value quality education and its importance in enhancing our community.

I am currently on the board filling a vacated seat since July of 2022. I am a lifelong resident who attended Lehighton and graduated from CCTI. I am the stepmother of three Lehighton graduates and a mother to a current fourth-grade student. I have seen the complications in our district and have taken active measures to ensure similar situations never happen again.

I am proud of the strengths and achievements of our school and am aware of the concerns and suggestions of parents, educators, and community members alike. I am committed to supporting our district’s teachers and staff to ensure that our students receive the highest quality education.

The vision of a school board should be transparency for our parents and students, so we as taxpayers and community leaders have a voice in decision-making. Also to provide leadership, mapping ways for our students of diverse backgrounds and disabilities to all reach their full potential.
