A vehicle stop in Carbon County led to the arrest of the driver and passenger on drug charges.
State police at Lehighton said troopers stopped a 1994 Dodge Spirit about 1:27 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at the intersection of Bridge and White sts., in Weissport, for a stop sign violation.At the stop troopers observed in plain view a bundle which contained 10 baggies of heroin on the floor in the rear of the car.The driver, David A. Drucker, of the 400 block of Danville, Montour County, consented to a search of the vehicle. In addition to the drugs also found was three used needles along wtih several empty heroin baggies.Drucker was charged with possession of a controlled substance-heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. His passenger, Cassandra L. Poole, same address as Drucker, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
