Volunteers are needed to help with a Saturday roadside cleanup organized by the band, Hatter, in Tamaqua.
Those wishing to help will clean Route 209, where the band adopted a stretch of highway that spans two miles just west of the borough.
The cleanup will run from noon to 2 p.m.
“When the cleanup is over we’re going to head to the Tamaqua Elks Lodge to do a performance from 3 – 4 p.m. to celebrate a job well done,” said band member George Parr.
The performance is open to all ages.
The band is partnering with the Elks, 201 W. Broad St., and the Schuylkill Headwaters Association for the cleanup.
