Each year Palmerton Exchange Club members "kidnap" an out-of-state honeymoon couple from Honeymoon Hideaway near Kresgeville and give them a tour of Carbon County, courtesy of ex-president and Mrs. Samuel George. They then return to Blue Ridge Country Club where they are feted at a party, including dinner and gifts. The couple kidnapped were John and Nancy McCauley of Ontario, Canada. They were given tours of Beltzville Dam, Jim Thorpe Mausoleum, Asa Packer Mansion, Courthouse, Flagstaff Mountain, and other points of interest.
