The manager of a recently opened establishment in Lehighton wants to set the record straight about how the business has been perceived.
Valerie Grullon, manager of the Pleasure Lounge & Night Club at 201 North First St., said people should try the business out in person before they judge it by what they’ve read or heard.
“A lot of people mention us, but we haven’t communicated,” Grullon said. “A lot of people don’t know us, but they talk bad about us.”
Grullon said she believes the business has unfairly garnered a bad rap because of reports that she said are not linked to it.
“I just don’t want them to pay attention to the negative things (being said) about us,” she said. “I want them to enjoy the food, the music, the drinks.”
Grullon said she wants customers to try the business out and formulate their own opinions based on how they are treated while inside the establishment.
“I don’t want them to be thinking about what people are saying about us,” she said. “We just want to grow, have people come to this beautiful town to enjoy our food, drinks, at this nice place.”
