Weissport Borough Council discussed two road paving projects at its meeting last week.
The work would be done on White Street and Railroad Street.
Council is going to check with Brent Green and Hanover Engineering about getting grants to cover the costs.
Councilman James Osbourn and Secretary Aimee Shank were named to the borough’s Emergency Management Team. Osbourn will receive training and certification. Councilman Arland Moyer is stepping down from the team.
Council approved the new chain link fence to be placed along the back of the playground property, at a cost not to exceed $2,000. The fence is 118 feet long and would run from the sewer fence to the other existing fence. Work will be done in-house by borough workers.
Borough Secretary Aimee Shank was approved to work an additional 8 hours to train Moyer how to use QuickBooks online. Moyer oversees the garbage billing for the borough.
